As Hurricane Dorian approached Treasure Cay on Great Abaco Island within the Bahamas, John Slack thought better of remaining in their home in Coopers Town.
Slack’s house is regarding the ocean regarding the side that is east of area. He had ridden away storms here prior to, but after remaining placed for Hurricane Sandy in 2012, he knew remaining for Dorian is an idea that is bad.
“After Sandy, we swore we’d never ever ride out a storm here once more,” Slack stated. “It had been too terrifying, also at 110 mph winds.”
